None of the current Colorado Avalanche players are participating in the Winter Olympics, but one former member of the organization made history in PyeongChong.
Mirai Nagasu helped the U.S. win a bronze medal in the figure skating team event on Monday. Nagasu was an ice girl for the Avs during the 2015-16 season.
Nagasu, 24, became the just the third American woman to land a triple axel in competition — and the first to do so in the Olympics.
“It’s historical and something no one can take away from me,” Nagasu said to The Associated Press.
