Avs’ Nazem Kadri discusses suspension history against Bruins: “Winning is more important than any kind of revenge”

Nazem Kadri received multigame suspensions during the past two NHL postseasons for major penalties the league described as “using his stick as a weapon” and causing an opponent’s head to “dangerously impact the boards.”

The common denominator: Both incidents happened against the Boston Bruins.

It all adds up to a highly anticipated reunion Thursday night inside the Pepsi Center.

Kadri, a second-line center who came to the Avalanche via trade after 10 seasons with Toronto, addressed his perceived bad blood versus Boston at the Avs’ morning skate Thursday.

“Obviously, it’s in the back of your mind, but it’s not really something I focus too much about,” Kadri said.
