In the first two games of the season, the Colorado Avalanche have proven they can score goals on the power play — this was highly in doubt last season. The have proven that they can just plain score goals — last season they were shut out the first two games. Colorado has even proven they can “level up” after a penalty kill, although apparently they’re not allowed to play that sound anymore in Pepsi Center.
