The Avalanche Wednesday morning sent veteran winger Jarome Iginla to the Los Angeles Kings for a conditional fourth-round draft choice, with Colorado paying half of Iginla’s pro-rated salary for the remainder of the 2016-17 season.
In the final hour before the 1 p.m. trading deadline, the Avalanche also sent Norwegian fourth-line winger Andreas Martinsen to the Montreal Canadiens for Swiss right wing Sven Andrighetto.
Andrighetto, 23, was a Canadiens’ third-round choice in the 2013 draft and has two goals and six assists in 27 games with Montreal, also spending time with the St. John’s Ice Caps of the AHL.
