Heading into Game 1 of the postseason a year ago, the Avalanche had a good team but lacked depth.
Heading into Tuesday’s postseason opener against Nashville, the Western Conference’s No. 1 seed is loaded with capable reserves. The only question mark is center Nazem Kadri, who is listed as day-to-day.
“We’ll have tough decisions to make on the lineup every night,” Colorado coach Jared Bednar said. “That’s a positive thing.”
“The depth of our team is going to be our strength,” added left wing/team captain Gabe Landeskog, who will return Tuesday after missing 22 games because of knee surgery.
