The Colorado Avalanche joins in the NHL/NHLPA’s annual Hockey Fights Cancer initiative to honor those in the hockey community who have struggled or continue to struggle with the disease.
The annual campaign, scheduled Oct. 19 to Nov. 13, 2015, is supported by all 30 NHL teams. Each club designates one home game as its Hockey Fights Cancer Awareness Night. The Tuesday, Nov. 3, contest between the Avalanche and Calgary Flames at Pepsi Center is the Avs' designated Hockey Fights Cancer game.
"The entire hockey community has been incredibly supportive of the Hockey Fights Cancer campaign since its inception in 1998," said Ken Martin Jr.
