The Colorado Avalanche brought another prospect into the fold Wednesday, adding Hobey Baker Award finalist Ben Meyers to the mix with a two-year contract through the 2022-23 season, the team announced.
The University of Minnesota forward’s signing comes a day after the Avs inked Minnesota State free agent Wyatt Aamodt.
Meyers compiled 41 points (17 goals, 24 assists) in 34 games as a team captain. The 5-foot-11, 200-pound center was named the Big Ten Player of the Year, as he led the Gophers in both points and goals en route to the Frozen Four. He racked up 95 points (39 goals, 56 assists) in 102 career games with Minnesota,
