The Avalanche announced Friday it has signed 2017 fourth-round selection (94th overall) Nick Henry of the Lethbridge Hurricanes of the Western Hockey League.
Henry, a 19-year-old forward, has split the 2018-19 season between the WHL’s Regina Pats and Lethbridge, producing 40 points in 25 games for Regina before totaling 43 points in 37 games for the Hurricanes. Henry’s combined 83 points (24 goals) is tied for seventh most in the WHL.
Henry will complete the season with Lethbridge before beginning his professional career.
