Given the dominance of the Blackhawks’ red color scheme and the crowd reaction after Chicago goals in the Pepsi Center Tuesday, it was natural to be in the mood after the game to head to Gino’s East for pizza, Al’s for Italian beef or the Billy Goat Tavern for a cheezborger.
Or at least reasonable Colorado facsimiles thereof.
That aside, the Avalanche again showed some late-season spunk, coming back from a 3-0 deficit to knock off the Blackhawks 4-3 in overtime at the Pepsi Center. Erik Johnson‘s goal at 1:57 of the 3-on-3 OT ended it.
