Colorado Avalanche captain Gabriel Landeskog’s wrist injury necessitated surgery. Landeskog showed up to the Shaka Franklin Foundation luncheon wearing a soft cast on his left arm.
That is the extent of the facts surrounding Landeskog and his wrist injury. Rumors started circulating at the conclusion of the season that Landeskog had been playing with an injured wrist. This injury was cited as the reason for his declining an invitation to play for Team Sweden at the IIHF World Championship.
According to Denver Post writer Mike Chambers, Landeskog declined to comment about his wrist surgery beyond saying he had it “to clean some things up.
