It took Josh Manson one game to show the Avalanche what kind of player general manager Joe Sakic acquired in a trade with Anaheim.
Donning an Avs sweater Tuesday night at Los Angeles, the rugged defenseman logged 18 minutes, 41 seconds of ice time and delivered a game-high 10 hits, the most by an Avs player in three years.
Colorado won 3-0 behind a dominating defensive performance, and Manson’s physical presence was a huge factor.
“If Josh’s game tonight is any indication, he’s going to help us in a big way,” Colorado coach Jared Bednar said postgame.
