It was not the smoothest ride at times, but the Colorado Avalanche reached the midway point of its season this past week near the top of the NHL standings and with a recent run of excellent form to remind everyone this is one of the top Stanley Cup contenders.
Have there been some terrible losses, either lopsided or inexcusable because of the competition and team’s poor performance? Yes.
Has there been multiple viral, drama-filled moments that might have been a bigger problem for most teams around the league? Yep.
