CALGARY, Alberta — Some big names not on the Avalanche’s injured list came through with big games Tuesday night as the Scotiabank Saddledome.
Left winger Andre Burakovsky scored two goals, center Nathan MacKinnon had two assists, rookie defenseman Cale Makar had a record point and goalie Philipp Grubauer got the win after missing the last five games with injury.
Those contributions, plus the game-winning goal from fourth-line center Vladislav Kamenev, led Colorado to a 3-2 victory over the Calgary Flames, who rallied from a 3-0 deficit to make it interesting in the waning minutes.
Burakovsky had just two shots while playing with MacKinnon and right winger Joonas Donskoi at even strength and the power play.
