The Avalanche will stick with the same lineup Friday against the New Jersey Devils that produced Wednesday’s 3-2 overtime win over the Winnipeg Jets. The only difference is Nail Yakupov will be promoted to the first line left wing and Sven Andrighetto goes back to the fourth.
“Give him a shot up there,” Avs coach Jared Bednar said of Yakupov, who is averaging just 12 minutes, 13 seconds of ice time on the season.
Captain Gabe Landeskog normally occupies the left wing spot on the top line with center Nathan MacKinnon and Mikko Rantanen, but Landeskog will serve the second game of his four-game suspension for his cross check last week on Calgary’s Matthew Tkachuk last week.
