BOSTON — Avalanche coach Jared Bednar met with the media before Monday’s Columbus Day matinee against the Boston Bruins and said he has not seen what former Avs center Peter Forsberg said he suggests the team should do with center Matt Duchene.
But Bednar has much to say about what has become one of the NHL’s most interesting stories.
Forsberg, a 2016 Hockey Hall of Fame inductee, said the Avalanche should “bench and trade” Duchene, who reported to training camp Sept. 14 expecting to be traded before the season.
