It’s never too late to give something a shot.
After the morning skate, Avalanche coach Jared Bednar said he would stick what he tried late in the game at Calgary Monday night, leaving the still-slumping Matt Duchene at right wing on a J.T. Compher-centered line against the Washington Capitals Wednesday night at the Pepsi Center.
Gabe Landeskog will be on the left side.
Duchene prefers to play center, but he doesn’t have a point since the win over Detroit on March 15, when he had a goal.
“I kind of liked their third period the other night,” Bednar said of the line.
