SEATTLE — Avalanche coach Jared Bednar said the team is still not considering Valeri Nichushkin’s absence disciplinary in light of the release of a police report revealing Nichushkin’s involvement in an incident at the Avalanche team hotel last Saturday.
“I’m not going to get into it, because it’s personal,” Bednar said Friday when asked if Nichushkin violated team rules. “It’s not a professional decision. It’s a personal decision, why he’s not here.”
According to a Seattle Police Department report acquired by The Post via records request Thursday, a woman found in Nichushkin’s hotel room was so intoxicated that a team doctor called for an ambulance to take her to a hospital.
