Many players entered Avalanche training camp knowing there were no true open positions to try out for, but that doesn’t mean head coach Jared Bednar has already set his roster for the regular season.
The way he sees it, if a guy can prove his worth he can earn a spot in the lineup.
“I don’t care if he’s a first-rounder or an undrafted free agent, if he came from Tier II, if he came from the Western (Hockey) League or the (Ontario Hockey League) or if he’s a college player. It means no difference to me,” Bednar said of the hopeful players on the preseason roster.
