The Colorado Avalanche’s all-star center Nathan MacKinnon on Tuesday left the game early against the Vancouver Canucks after suffering an upper body injury.
MacKinnon left the ice with 6:04 left and the score tied 2-2 in the second period after a collision in the corner with Vancouver defensemen Alexander Edler. MacKinnon lost his helmet on the play.
He was seen on the bench holding his shoulder in pain and then went to the locker room. MacKinnon was ruled out for the remainder of the contest with what was called an upper body injury.
