Semyon Varlamov will be back in net Tuesday night and the Avalanche’s top three scorers will be reunited on the same line as Colorado hosts Detroit at the Pepsi Center.
NHL all-stars Nathan MacKinnon, Gabe Landeskog and Mikko Rantanen haven’t played regularly together since mid-February.
“We tried some different guys in there and I just feel like they’re more dangerous as a threesome, especially now when you have the addition of (Derick) Brassard, who changes some things,” Avs coach Jared Bednar said Tuesday after the morning skate.
Brassard was acquired at the Feb. 25 trade deadline and will play left wing on a line with center Tyson Jost and Matt Calvert.
