As Altitude Sports’ impasse with the big three television providers stretches toward two months, at least one solution has emerged for fans hoping to watch Nuggets and Avalanche games.
With the help of Coors Distributing Co. and Anheuser-Busch distributing, the regional sports network has reached a deal to provide a feed to “hundreds” of Denver-area bars and restaurants to legally show games to patrons, Altitude Sports President Matt Hutchings said.
Among those establishments is Blake Street Tavern in downtown Denver, which received cease-and-desist orders from the NHL and NBA earlier this week after showing a pirated Avalanche broadcast to customers on Monday.
