BOSTON — One after another, an illness is hitting the Avalanche players, and that’s partly why left wing and team captain Gabe Landeskog missed his 10th consecutive game Thursday against the Bruins at TD Garden.
The tentative plan was to have Landeskog return from his lower-body injury Thursday, but he was among a handful of players who didn’t practice Wednesday in Boston after the team arrived at 3 a.m. from Nashville, where Colorado lost 4-3 Tuesday night. Forwards Matt Duchene and Nathan MacKinnon and defenseman Tyson Barrie also didn’t practice Wednesday because of illness, and only Duchene participated in a light optional morning skate Thursday at TD Garden.
