Andrew Agozzino joined the Avs org 4 years ago on an AHL contract after a successful OHL career and played himself into an NHL entry-level deal. A year after that he made his NHL debut and recorded an assist in his only game. Three seasons of not missing a game due to injury caught up to him this year with an early shoulder injury and a broken ankle mid-season. After Mikko Rantanen was sent back to SA to preserve his ELC slide, Agozzino was called up to finish the Avs 2016 campaign as the 4th line center, a position he hadn't played much in the past couple of years.
