Holden Grigg won’t be going far to play college golf.
The junior at Myrtle Beach High School has verbally committed to play at Coastal Carolina University.
Grigg chose CCU after taking official visits to other schools and said he believes in the program first-year coach Jim Garren, who helped Oklahoma win the 2017 NCAA championship as an assistant coach last season, and assistant Jeremy Alcorn are building. He also wanted to remain near his golf coach based at Barefoot Resort.
“I committed to Coastal because I wanted to be a part of what Jim and Jeremy are building and be able to continue to work with Alasdair Dyer,” Grigg said.
