After nearly four years at the University of Houston, including the past 2 1/2 years as athletic director, former Coastal Carolina AD Hunter Yurachek has been named the AD at Arkansas.
The Razorbacks introduced Yurachek as the new leader of their athletics department on Monday. Yurachek replaces Jeff Long, who was fired Nov. 15, and jumps right into a football coach search.
The Razorbacks fired Bret Bielema on Nov. 24 following a 4-8 season in 2017 that included a one-point comeback win at home over Coastal.
Yurachek signed a five-year contract with the Southeastern Conference school that is worth $850,000 per year and includes a $200,000 signing bonus.
