Coastal Carolina thought it might have had its quarterback positioned settled last week when third-year sophomore Chance Thrasher got his first college start.
But that lasted just one play. Thrasher injured his right knee on a 10-yard run on CCU’s first offensive play and interim head coach Jamey Chadwell said Wednesday Thrasher is expected to miss between four and eight weeks while recovering.
So with Thrasher out, the Chants (1-3) are expected to go back to their formula of the first three games at home Saturday against Georgia State with senior Tyler Keane starting and graduate student Dalton Demos spelling him at times, presumably in run packages.
