Indians unveil Players’ Weekend names, monochromatic jerseys

The Cleveland Indians have unveiled their nicknames of choice for the 2019 Players’ Weekend. They, along with the rest of baseball, will wear monochromatic jerseys to draw more attention to players’ custom equipment, according to Yahoo! Sports.

Francisco Lindor, aka Mr. Smile (featuring emojis that I can’t use in my editor), will be one of 30 Players’ Weekend Ambassadors. The Indians themselves will be hosting the Royals during the event, August 23 through August 25, and as such will be in the black uniforms.

Some Indians players chose old favorites, such as Shane Biebers “Not Justin”, Jason Kipnis’ “Dirtbag”, Carlos Santana’s “Slamtana”, and Roberto Pérez’s “Bebo.
