ALTOONA, Pennsylvania -- Eric Haase's two-run double in the sixth inning was all the scoring the RubberDucks needed as four pitchers combined to shut out the Curve and Akron completed a four-game sweep Thursday with a 2-0 victory.
Outfielder Jordan Smith had three of the RubberDucks five hits, but Haase got the one that counted.
Curve left-hander Brandon Waddell had been solid against the RubberDucks, allowing only one hit through five innings.
In the sixth, Akron second-baseman Tyler Krieger singled off Waddell with one out. Waddell hit shortstop Yu-Cheng Chang to put runners on first and second.
