Zimmer has surgery, to return in 8-12 months

Indians outfielder Bradley Zimmer underwent arthroscopic surgery to repair his right labrum in Dallas on Friday. Bradley's projected return to full baseball activity is 8-12 months, the club announced on Saturday.

Zimmer hurt his right shoulder during hitting drills a week after he was optioned to Triple-A Columbus on June 5.
