CLEVELAND: By many accounts, the Indians have had baseball’s best bullpen this season. But it hasn’t only been due to the dominance of Andrew Miller and Cody Allen in the back-end.
It’s also been the relievers at the front-end, namely Zach McAllister and Nick Goody, working the middle innings. After Wednesday’s game, McAllister owns a 1.02 ERA to go with 21 strikeouts in 15 2/3 innings. Goody has yet to give up an earned run in 15 1/3 innings pitched.
Together, they’ve helped to round out the Indians’ bullpen, making it not only arguably the most talented unit but also the deepest.
