CLEVELAND, Ohio -- Indians rookie third baseman Yandy Diaz has a smile that can give teammate Francisco Lindor a run for his money. But on Tuesday, Diaz nearly had a wardrobe malfunction that was no laughing matter.
Diaz took the field in the bottom of the first inning at Target Field with the Indians leading the Twins 3-0. But the rookie from Cuba was wearing the wrong cap when he stepped between the lines.
Diaz emerged from the dugout wearing the all-blue block "C" road cap instead of the Tribe's all-blue Chief Wahoo cap like the rest of his teammates.
