Jose Ramirez hit a solo home run into the bleachers in left field off Chicago Cubs starter Jon Lester with two outs in the second inning and the Indians lead 1-0 in Game 5 of the World Series on Sunday night at Wrigley Field.
Lester struck out the side in the first and had retired the first five Indians hitters before the homer by Ramirez.
Indians starter Trevor Bauer struck out Dexter Fowler and Kris Bryant and got Anthony Rizzo to fly out to left in the bottom of the first.
The Indians lead the series 3-1 and need one more victory to claim the first championship for the franchise since 1948.
