CLEVELAND, Ohio – The Indians have seven players eligible for arbitration and by midnight Wednesday they must decide if they're going to offer them a contract for 2016.
If the Indians don't sign them or offer them a contract, they can try to trade them before the deadline or let them become a free agent with the possibility of re-signing them.
Closer Cody Allen, right-handers Bryan Shaw, Josh Tomlin, Zach McAllister and Jeff Manship, left-hander Nick Hagadone and right fielder-third baseman Lonnie Chisenhall are the Indians eligible for arbitration.
