Before we get to the Indians farm system action, two All-Star games took place two days ago in the Midwest League and Carolina League and the Indians were well-represented.
Will Benson participated in the home run derby, coming in second with a total of 23 bombs between two rounds. He hit 13 in the first round and 10 in the second.
In the actual Midwest All-Star game, Benson went 1-2 with a single and a strikeout. Lake County reliever Kyle Nelson pitched 0.2 scoreless innings with a strikeout and their East team beat the West All-Stars 3-2 in 10 innings.
