CLEVELAND, Ohio -- Here is why the New York Mets will beat the Chicago Cubs in seven games in the NLCS.
I'm riding the Bartolo "Boogie Bear' Colon train on this. I can't believe the Mets have him in the bullpen, but I predict Colon comes out of the pen in Game 7 and pitches the Mets to their first World Series since 2000.
Colon, signed and developed by the Indians, just seems to keep getting better and bigger with age. Right now, he's 42 and listed at 5-11 and 285 pounds.
Former Tribe GM Mark Shapiro dealt Colon to Montreal in 2002 in his signature trade for a king's ransom in young talent – Grady Sizemore, Cliff Lee and Brandon Phillips.
