Twins 4, Indians 1: One bad inning, lackluster hitting doom Mike Clevinger, Indians

CLEVELAND: Even an appearance by the “rally squirrel” wasn’t enough to jump-start the Indians’ recently struggling lineup in a 4-1 loss to the Minnesota Twins on Saturday at Progressive Field.

Twins starting pitcher Jose Berrios (1-0), called up from Triple-A for Saturday’s game, held the Indians to just two hits in 7u2154 innings, and they finished with three hits for the second consecutive game.

The Indians (18-17) momentarily held a 1-0 lead in the third. Carlos Santana hit a ball to the top of the wall that Twins center fielder Byron Buxton nearly caught, but the ball bounced out of his glove, giving Santana a triple.
