Triston McKenzie tosses five scoreless innings for Double-A Akron in his season debut

Columbus Clippers 4, Norfolk Tides 7

Box Score · Clippers fall to 28-29

Adam Plutko pitched for the first time since throwing a no-hitter, and he was once again dominant. Limited to just 73 pitches after throwing 113 his last start, Plutko gave up one run in 6.0 innings on three hits while striking out five and walking zero. He should be more than ready to return to Indians #5 starter duty shortly.

Once Plutko left the game, however, the Clippers bullpen proceeded to give up six runs in the eighth inning and blow the game.
