CLEVELAND -- The Indians put the Twins' postseason aspirations -- at least temporarily -- on ice Wednesday night, as Cleveland knocked off Minnesota, 4-2, Progressive Field.
With the loss, the Twins' magic number to clinch the second AL Wild Card remained at one pending the outcome of Wednesday's game between the White Sox and Angels. If the White Sox win, the Twins are in. If not, the magic number remains at 1.
The Indians maintained their one-game lead over the Astros for the top seed in the AL with the win, and now trail the Dodgers by two games for the best record in baseball, pending the result of their game against the Padres.
