The first month of the season was a struggle for the Indians offense. It turns out all they needed to bust their slump was some Texas Rangers pitching.
After hanging 13 runs on the Rangers staff through the first two games of the series, the Tribe put another 12 on the board on Wednesday afternoon, with the help of five home runs—three from Edwin Encarnacion, and one apiece from Jason Kipnis and Francisco Lindor.
The offensive explosion was the Tribe’s first double-digit performance of the season, and hopefully it’s the start of a hot streak.
Even after going 3-5 with three home runs, Encarnacion is still only batting .
