Tribe affiliates win five of six games in offense-fueled day, Oscar Gonzalez homers in both legs of a double-header

Columbus Clippers 5, Charlotte Knights 3

Yandy Diaz busted out of his mini-slump Tuesday, going 3-4 at the dish with a double, a walk and two runs batted in to lead the Clippers’ offense. Brandon Barnes joined Diaz with a three-hit game while Eric Haase continued his recent power surge, homering for the second straight day.

That offense would be more than enough for Stephen Fife, who surrendered three runs (two earned) in 7.2 innings while striking out four and walking two to pick up the win.
