CLEVELAND -- The Indians regained a piece of their lineup on Monday and also reunited with a reliever from the team's recent history.
Prior to Monday's game against the White Sox, Cleveland activated first baseman Yonder Alonso from Major League Baseball's family medical emergency list after a three-day absence for undisclosed reasons. The Indians also signed left-hander Marc Rzepczynski to a Minor League contract and assigned him to Triple-A Columbus.
In order to add Alonso back to the active roster, Cleveland optioned outfielder Greg Allen to Triple-A.
