In what seemed unthinkable when he made his first start in August–returning from injury–Josh Tomlin may have earned a spot in the Indians 2016 pitching rotation.
Tomlin was very good once again and the Tribe bats backed him strong, as the Wahoos won big 8-2 on Friday night. The crafty righthander had another sharp line, with just a 2-run homerun (a bomb, by the way!) to David Ortiz as the only chink in the armor: 6.1 IP 2 R 2ER 2 BB 5 K. Tomlin will finish the season 7-2 with a 3.02 ERA, somewhat unphathomable, given his first start was August 15th and the magnitude of his injury history and extended time away from game action.
