I wouldn’t necessarily say that baseball was fun yesterday because the Cleveland Indians lost both Carlos Carrasco and Abraham Almonte to injuries, but it was at least more fun because the team won. Had Cleveland lost, the day would have felt downright abysmal. So, let’s win another one.
Former Tribe draft pick Chris Archer struggled mightily in the first inning and gave up 5 runs. He gave up two additional runs over the next two innings, but thanks to Carlos Carrasco having a short, ineffective outing due to an injury, the Rays were able to climb back into the game.
