CLEVELAND, Ohio – The NL Central is baseball's best division and with two weeks left in the season things are getting heated.
The Cardinals, Pirates and Cubs should all make the postseason. If the standings stay the same, the Cardinals will win the division, while the Pirates and Cubs will win the two wild card spots.
The heat is being generated because at the start of Saturday's schedule, the Cardinals, Pirates and Cubs owned the best three records in the NL. But because they play in the same division, the Cubs and Pirates are headed for a winner-take-all wild card game with the loser going home and the winner advancing to play the Cardinals in the division series.
