Strikeout machine Andrew Miller has changed the game for the Cleveland Indians in 2016

CLEVELAND, Ohio -- It almost seems like a formality.

A new batter enters, watches a couple of pitches sail into Roberto Perez's glove, makes a futile lunge at a sidewinding slider and retreats to the dugout, head down, useless lumber in hand.

Rinse, repeat.

Andrew Miller presents a challenge on the mound that few, if any, teams seem equipped to tackle. He stands 6-feet, 7 inches tall and he slings his mid-90s heater and unforgiving slider from a deceptive angle. The result, far more often than not in this postseason, is a strikeout.

That was the case on Saturday, when he fanned the first four batters he faced.
