Shane Bieber impressed in his second start at Triple-A, but it wasn’t enough as the Columbus Clippers were shut out by Drew VerHagen and the rest of the Toledo Mud Hens bullpen.
Bieber tossed 6.2 quality innings, allowing two runs on seven hits while striking out four. He also improved upon his Triple-A debut last week by making sure to return to his zero walk ways.
No members of the Clippers reached base safely twice and the lone extra base hit was a double by Brandon Barnes
