Shane Bieber rocking for Lynchburg Hillcats: Cleveland Indians Minor Leagues

CLEVELAND, Ohio -- Righthander Shane Bieber, scheduled to make his home debut Friday for the Lynchburg Hillcats, has three quality starts in his three games since being called up from low A Lake County Captains.

Bieber is 0-0 with a 1.93 ERA with the Hillcats, after going 2-3 with a 3.10 ERA in Lake County. He has 45 strikeouts in 47.2 innings this season against just one walk. He has struck out 66 batters in his professional career while only walking three.

Bieber does not have an overpowering fastball (89-93 mph), but obviously possess great command.

The Cleveland Indians selected Bieber in the fourth round of the 2016 draft out of UC-Santa Barbara, where he guided his team to the quarterfinals of the College World Series.
