Shane Bieber impresses in Triple-A debut, Bobby Bradley mashes two home runs for Akron

Box Score · Clippers improve to 13-12

Shane Bieber made his Triple-A debut yesterday, and he was impressive.

Despite shockingly walking two batters (increasing his season total to three and career total to 15), Bieber tossed 6.0 innings, giving up just two hits and one run while striking out five. His lone blemish was a solo home run given up in the second inning.

Bieber was backed up by Brandon Barnes, who went 3-4 at the plate with three doubles. Shortstop prospect Yu Cheng blasted a walk-off two-run homer in the bottom of the ninth to win it.
