The Indians wrapped up their sweep of the Tigers on Sunday afternoon, extending their win streak against Detroit to 20 games. The Tribe is now three games shy of the MLB record for consecutive wins over an opponent, closing in on Baltimore’s 23-game streak against the Royals during the 1969-70 seasons.
La Mole Stays Hot
Franmil Reyes went 5-11 over the weekend with three home runs, including two on Sunday afternoon. It was his second multi-homer game since joining the Tribe last season.
It was also the Indians 15th multi-homer game in Comerica Park (that seems like a lot considering the size of the stadium).
