The Tribe wrapped up another series win on Sunday night, taking two of three from the White Sox. Sunday’s victory was their first under the new extra innings rule.
Starting Pitching Dominance
Tribe starters Aaron Civale, Zack Plesac and Shane Bieber combined to allow four runs in 19 innings of work against Chicago.
The starting pitchers have been incredible this year, allowing three or fewer runs in 16 of their 17 games, the first time they’ve done that in franchise history. The record had previously stood at 15 of 17 games, most recently accomplished in 1988 by Greg Swindell, Tom Candiotti, Scott Bailes, John Farrell and Rich Yett.
